1. Who I am

704 AI is Dan's web design and software business. These terms cover this website and the work I do for clients. A signed agreement with a client adds detail and wins where the two differ.

2. Using this website

You may read and share pages from this site. Please don't copy its design, text or code for your own site, and don't try to break into, overload or scrape it. The website score reads public pages only.

3. Previews

A preview costs $100 and is credited in full if you go ahead. The preview design stays mine until the website is paid for.

4. Websites

Once a website is paid in full, you own its content (text, photos and visual design as delivered) and your domain. Any software inside it, such as forms, calculators, server code and integrations, is licensed to you permanently for use on that website.

5. Backend Ops and software I build

I own all software, code, databases and their structure, integrations, automations, dashboards, portals, internal tools and workflows that I create, whether inside a website or as Ops work, and all my pre-existing tools and templates. I may copy, modify, reuse, license and sell that work, and anything based on it, to anyone. Ops tools are licensed to the client, not sold: the license runs while the client's Ops plan is active and ends 30 days after it ends. Clients may not copy, resell or reverse engineer them. A buyout can be quoted on request.

6. Your data

Information you or your customers put into anything I build (customer lists, jobs, prices, financial records) is yours. I use it only to provide your service, keep it confidential, never sell it, never use it in work for anyone else, and export it to you on request. My right to reuse software never includes your data or your confidential business information.

7. Monthly plans

Care and Ops plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. Unpaid plans may be paused. An Ops plan includes your website's Care.

8. No guarantees about rankings or results

Google, Bing, Apple, OpenAI and others decide their own rankings and answers. I do the work described in your agreement but don't guarantee rankings, traffic, customers or revenue. My tools organize business and financial information; they are not accounting, tax or legal advice.

9. Limits

My total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid me in the three months before the claim. Neither side is liable for lost profits or indirect damages.

10. Law and disputes

Disputes are handled under the law and in the courts named in your signed agreement.

11. Changes

I may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. Work already under a signed agreement keeps the terms in that agreement.
